We all as Americans these days should feel fortunate to have a free nation.
Many seem a bit spoiled when it comes to this type of consideration... Many seem to have this paranoid view of the gov'ment as being this evil empire, when -in fact- it's as free as it has always been.
I mean,
even at the depths of the so-called "Police State" type of atmosphere in the USA,
wee the people must never forget that we are free to the degree that we live and die freely.
The only 'Orwellian" evil empire type of control to be paranoid about are the evils wee as men do each, in every case, of our own volition and impose upon ourselves and each other. The enemy isn't some 'bad guy' abstraction, the enemy is really our own failings as free peoples.
Wee should all, in the USA or abroad, feel infinitely thankful today that our government is a type of government that enshrines individual rights, rather than a country such as Russia or China.
People who live under the thumb of tyrants in those Eurasian areas would do anything to hav the freedoms wee as americans take- truly -for granted...
So,
Let's all say a prayer for the lessr-fortunates in other countries,
and feel thankful we are in the good ole' U.S. of A.
