On Temporality

I make, here, the statement that not only is time not an illusion...
...not only that there is much more to temporality than an everyday conception of time,
but that temporality is factically constitutive of a Dasein's primordial authenticity.

I was taken aback recently when a friend of mine commented, in regards to temporality or time, that the only real time is now.  He made the everyday claim that the past and the future were, in fact, illusions and the only authentic time is the present.

I was at a loss...
After all of my analysis of Heidegger's "Being and Time", reading it cover to cover and writing Heideggerian existential tractates, I didn't know how to adequately respond.

I, in retrospect, should've said something about what is known in the Continent as historicity.
But that doesn't really quell the whole, "The time is now, maaaan!" viewpoint.
How can one respond to such seemingly short sighted and quasi-ignorant claims about universal temporality?

So I've decided, due to my inability to really solve the problem of time-as-such, to merely proffer you - the enlightened reader - a series of quotes from "Being and Time" on Temporality and Everydayness.
________________________________________________________________________________
"The primordiality of a state of Being does not coincide with the simplicity and uniqueness of an ultimate structural element...  If we penetrate to the 'source' ontologically, we do not come to things which are ontically obvious for the 'common understanding'; but the questionable character of everything obvious opens up for us.
If we are to bring back into our phenomenological purview the phenomena at which we have arrived in our preparatory analysis, an allusion to the stages through which we have passed must be sufficient.  Our definition of "care" emerged from our analysis of the disclosedness which constitutes the Being of the 'there'."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The temporal Interpretation of everyday Dasein must start with those structures in which disclosedness constitutes itself: understanding, state-of-mind, falling and discourse.  The modes in which temporality temporalizes are to be laid bare with regard to these phenomena, and will give us a basis for defining the temporality of Being-in-the-world.  This leads us back to the phenomena of the world, and permits us to delimit the specifically temporal problematic of worldhood."
________________________________________________________________________________

"To exhibit its concrete temporal Constitution, means to give a temporal Interpretation of the items of its structure, taking them each singly: understanding, state-of-mind, falling and discourse.  Every understanding has its mood.  Every state-of-mind is one in which one understands...  The current temporal Constitution of these phenomena leads back in each case to that one kind of temporality which serves as such to guarantee the possibility that understanding, state-of-mind, falling, and discourse are united in their structure."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Projection is basically futural; it does not primarily grasp the projected possibility thematically just by having it in view, but it throws itself into it as a possibility... To designate the authentic future terminologically we have reserved the expression "anticipation"."
_________________________________________________________________________________

"To the anticipation which goes with resoluteness, there belongs a Present in accordance with which a resolution discloses the Situation.  In resoluteness, the Present is not only brought back from distraction with the objects of one's closest concern, but gets held in the future and in having been.  That Present which is held in authentic temporality and which thus is authentic itself, we call the "moment of vision"."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and finally,

"The "now" is a temporal phenomenon which belongs to time as within-time-ness:  the "now" 'in which' something arises, passes away, or is present-at-hand."
________________________________________________________________________________

So with these quotes from Heidegger, I think we can ascertain simply that the present moment or the "now" is within time, not something outside of historicity.  We can deduce this quite simply by the eidetic reduction of the phenomenon of 'anticipation'.
If the only reality was in the 'now', why do we so frequently live in a state of anticipation of future events - further, why do we often look to our memory of past events to inform our current mood?

I think that Heidegger solves the time problem adequately and for the most part.

Surely the present moment has a certain kind of prescience and salience - but I would argue the present historicity is in the future making past the present... so to speak.

That's my tractatus for today,
keep it locked to Politalk for the forefront in philosophy and alt-right politik.

RIGHT TO WORK STATE: VOTE REPUB SO WE CAN BAN THE NEA

The National Education Association is one of the most prominent labor unions to operate in North Carolina, who by it's constitution is declared a "Right to Work State", i.e. no labor unions.

Despite this fact,
Unions continue to operate in across the fruited plains of our fair home state, NC.
How can this be?
Our constitution explicitly prohibits labor unions!

Why do we sit idly by and let the NEA decide what is suitable for what our children are learning - morally and ethically - in school?  It's WRONG!
The National Education Association has, as part of it's radical leftist labor union policy, indoctrinating our children, or conditioning them, into far left anti-American interpretations of History and Civics as part of their Modus Operandi.

We're taught, now with this cancel culture, that Christopher Columbus is somehow immoral!

We're taught,
by radical leftists in academia,
that "poor white" culture is ignorant and racist...

You can't even have that discussion with the labor unions,
as they would just write you off as another racist white conservo!

Next time these labor unions threaten children's well being,
I vow to strike back.

Not violently through terroristic activities and modus operandi, as the liberals do.

No - I will earn a degree in Education (I'm currently in a bit of a Sophomore slump but I'm proceeding with psych and criminology classes this fall), and teach the children that our founders and framers and the documents they drafted are not unjust; not rich white slaveowner oppression;
but, in fact,
the most unifying philosophy of the entire present age!
Democracy...

Teachers often decry the injustices of the past - as do BLM and Anti-Fa.

My retort to their academic oxen like obedience to leftist doctrine,
and to their quasi-criminal (at least in this state) participation in organized labor,
is merely this -

"Historical Necessity".

What is "History", and what are it's constitutive necessary aspects?

The fact is,
all injustices of the past were products of "Historical Necessity"!

Slavery?
Necessity...
War?
Necessity...
Unrest?
necessity...
necessity...
necessity...

So next time someone tries to moralize about how Democracy and Capitalsim are immoral, you might want to ask them - "What do you replace it with?  Socialism?  Communism?  Cancel Culture?"

I say,
now that we're approaching the most hedonistic and nihilistic age of our country in centuries,
why don't we just - GET BACK TO WORK!!!

Shootings of Children in the Projects of Durham

It was an absolute tragedy in Durham Co. last night,
"Gang Related" crimes occurred within a a short time of each other on July 16th -
KILLING OR WOUNDING THREE CHILDREN!  NOT TO MENTION OTHER BYSTANDERS!!!

I believe one of these shootings occurred outside a birthday party, with Gang members firing shots into a project tenant's house that was in the projects...

and even further,
One Gang (Blood or Crip) related crime occurred the same night with a drive by that murdered a young child, who was shot through the head by a ruthless thug.
It's a tragedy for our entire Peidmont,
and I say - "If this is what BLM is into, maybe it's WRONG".

I mean,
the ties between BLM, Anti-Fa and gang crime (not to mention terrorism) are widely documented!

And as I said a long time ago on my blog,
"Gangs-as-such" are the definition of organized communism.

These Bloods and Crips out there taking their BLM agenda to rival Gang Member's "CHILDREN" shows just what a lack of 'merican 'tegridy these criminals have!

I mean who would fucking shoot a child?
It's not even the only time it happened either,
some gang member shot a fourth child on independence day!

What kind of moral pathology would lead someone to commit a crime of this nature?

They probably are extremely narcissistic with poo poo problems...

Not to mention,
pieces of human garbage...

Shoot a kid?

Fuck you!!!

All I can pray for is that these vile pieces of dung are caught and executed...

I'll Tell You Why to Vote Trump: "He's a Dove!"

Trump,
who is currently going down in the history books as one of the most controversial POTUS's since Andrew Jackson,
is a dove.
Honestly, you know he is.
In terms of Foreign Policy he is an isolationist and said on the campaign trail: "I don't do nation building".
He got our troops out of Syria while the wanna-be hawkish D.E.M.'s war mongered about the situation...

And further,
let's look at exactly how vindictive this POTUS has been compared to previous presidents of the U.S.

I know,
under Obama,
as a repub,
I got several traffic tickets, two DWI's and probably about 4 or 5 tickets for possession of marijuana under a half ounce.

Under Obama, who took the Hawkish route when it came to overseas Drone strikes,
I suffered under the hand of the law, far more than was just.
I got my tickets either going to shows that I was DJing at or attending concerts while possessing weed.

My DWI's both occurred whilst coming back from DJ gigs,
and I think Obama was far more Globalistic when it came to enforcing harsh tactics.
Under Eric Holder,
they basically tried to destroy my life for speaking out on this blog, POLITALK...

How many speeding tickets have I gotten under Trump?
0
How many DWI's have I gotten under Trump?
0
How many tickets for weed possession have I gotten under Trump?
0

So let's look at who the hawks and doves are in the room.

Do we really want interventionists like Biden and Clinton as Executor?

The 'merican public will vote with 'tegridy,
and stand firmly in support of Trump.

I guarantee it.

Look at how Doveish Trump is, in fact...

He doesn't support the WTO, NAFTA or the WHO.
He is against needlessly risking our Troops lives in war, and decided against engaging with Iran when tensions were at their tightest.
He signed an executive order banning chokeholds-as-such, and made it part of all of our American Free World Police procedure with the stroke of a pen,
and he has said again and again,
"I don't believe in nation building."

So if you're a DEM,
and yr wondering who is the real Dove and who are the real War mongers?

I'd answer Trump is the former and the D.E.M. establishment is the latter...
