This officer,
died before his time,
he was working diligently,
doing his best fighting crime
officer Shuplin
went down shootin'
if only we could all be heroes like him
NC officers
in their quarters
do their duties
take their orders
not from the spirit
or letter of the book
but by the guiding ethics
of their stare
glare
look
Remember the fallen
doing their job
and remember the criminals
who extort and rob
remember the ordo
for which we all stand
and remember that red headed
vagabond vagaband
Remember the heroes
who fought for this land
