DDU POEM FOR VETERAN'S DAY

 The decision came down

The wire, quick,

I gave my faith,

To a loaded

Clip and carbine,

Never known,

To the people,

The will and force,

Of our friends over seas,

Many made a mark,

Many died,

And 1 man stood victorious,

Never known

Was the priceless cost,

Paid by individualists,

For what?

For the system,

Of checks and balances,

Blind.

What scale needs a cost,

Sisters and brothers,

In a minefield,

Never tread upon,

And the heart,

And the soul,

And all of the freedom,

That the price of admission,

Never let be clocked

By the debt,

So those alive and well,

Brother?

Carpe diem

All for one,

And one for all,

May the numbers

Show the

Show of force,

That was reckoned...
