I seemed to have noted in mine conscience a while back whilst attending a hippie dippie (yuppie or yippie) college that I got banned from for Drinkin' Pabst n' "Hate Speech" that many of the commies on campus, who would be open minded you'd think, were actually against continental philosophy-as-such.
They would go on in savageries about how the "Civilized White European" philosophers were somehow undesirable to study due to their, I'm assuming, impervious "whiteness".
What these lily white liberal pussies failed to take into account is how watching a "Ted Talk" (a popular form of pseudo intellectual lectures) doesn't make an academic oxen-like dullard a genius, just as rejecting the entirety of the history of Philosophy doesn't make you exceptional...
...And isn't a license for intellectualism or even a brash and stark Intellect-as-such.

Rejecting the basis of our continental philosophy's history is a profound ontology of resentement (French for resentment). A slavish emotion or ideological intuition that amounts in terms of pop-pablum current public "Zeitgeist" to a blanket refutation of all that is sacred and holy in our traditional hermeneutics.
I recall as I sat with this deleterious little Yippie (half yuppie, half hippie, half man-bear-pig), that he believed that the tradition of Philosophy-as-such was disreputable merely, and I'm assuming this was ideological-as-such, because it was the ethics of "The White Man".
As someone who has studied the teaching of Malcolm X with some seriousness (When I was baptized into my church my Pastor gave me a short book called "Why I am a United Methodist" that promoted Mr. X's rise to eloquence and majesty after an incarceration), I hated to tell this little acolyte for the sophistry of Marx and counter-culture "Youtube Videos for Dullards" that he was merely falling victim to the false rhetoric and ideology of the modern school campii's "commie" B.S.
He didn't appreciate it none too much but continued to drink my 50 pack of pabst blue ribbon and bulled around for a while with me...
I stated,

The philosophy of Hermetics and the Fire of Hermeneutics shall prove you wrong. Have you not heard of the philosophical works of Wittgenstein or Hegel (not even mentioning Heidegger)?"

"I've heard of Hegel in various conspiracy theory videos, and they said he was in favor of the New World Order."
I said,
"Well I dunno about that friend but they have their stamp on virtually every discipline in academia, and it would seem unbecoming for someone as well versed in the esoteric arts as yourself to deny their validity solely on the basis of Race, Right?"
He dodged and waffled,
but in the midst of his bulling and cowing I realized-
Due to the prominence of ideology and incorrectly based rhetoric coming from the Extremist Left (including Occupy adherents, Anti-War vanguards, and Anti-Fascist counter-culturalist ideologues in the "Lamestream" media), these young supple idealistic minds in a roughshod school for fuck ups in Yankee Vermont were being conditioned not only to hate country club repubs, social repubs and the Right wing generally;
